Springboard+

 

Springboard+ is a Government initiative offering free and heavily subsidised courses at certificate, degree, and masters level leading to qualifications in areas where there are employment opportunities in the economy. ICHAS is delighted to be able to offer our Level 9 Postgraduate Certificate in Work Related Behaviour as part of this initiative for the academic year 2025/2026.

SPRINGBOARD+ FUNDED PROGRAMME AVAILABLE AT ICHAS FOR SEPTEMBER 2025

ICHAS is delighted to have been selected to participate in the Springboard + initiative for academic year 2025/2026. This programme, which is jointly funded by the Irish government and the European Union, attracts 90% funding for those who qualify, and includes those who are either already working, or indeed recent graduates.

What Can I Study?

ICHAS have a limited number of government-funded places for Springboard+ applicants in the 2025/26 academic year. Courses are part-time and will be delivered via online and blended learning. See approved courses below:

This programme is designed for those in management roles or aspiring to manage people especially those who wish to increase their competence in understanding psychological aspects of work and organisations as well as managing the most valuable resource of any business – namely its people. The Programme is validated and awarded by Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) at Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).

What will it Cost?

  • No fees are applicable for jobseekers (unemployed and formerly self-employed) and returners (homemakers, carers, etc.) as these fees are covered by the Springboard+ 100% subsidy.
  • Those currently in employment will receive a 90% fee subsidy. This means you will need to pay 10% of the course fees which will be due upon registration.

Who should apply

1. Put yourself at a clear advantage for promotional positions and advancement within your business environment!

2. Achieve an advanced level understanding of the psychological aspects of work environments, motivation, performance factors in work etc..

3. Enhance your competencies to be a better leader and manager!

4. Get a Masters level (L9) qualification in a manageable way which you can build on while ensuring an appropriate work/life/study balance.

• The National Skills Bulletin 2024 provides strong evidence of a persistent demand across the economy for communication, teamwork and leadership skills in those who are or aspire to be in leadership and management roles.

• The most frequently mentioned skills in adverts for managerial jobs in 2023 included transversal, digital skills and teamwork amongst the most in-demand skills for managers, along with business related skills (pg 123).

• This Programme clearly provides formal opportunities to acquire and demonstrate such competencies.

• This programme will support graduates to understand and manage people within organisations and should enhance opportunities for Front line, Middle and Senior Managers.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Courses at ICHAS
