Ian has worked for over a decade as a psychologist and psychotherapist, and brings this experience into the classroom where he engages with students in the theoretical and practical aspects of the profession. Ian is passionate about teaching the next generation of therapists and takes great care in ensuring that they are prepared to meet the needs of their clients in a direct, honest, and courageous manner. Drawing on his clinical and academic experience, Ian works with my students to develop their competencies in the fields of ethics, psychometric assessment, personality, human development, group facilitation, psychopathology, and more. Ian hopes to develop his students’ creativity and bravery and help them to explore skills and techniques that are effective, authentic, and fully supported by evidence-based research. In this way, Ian aims to work with his students to develop their approaches to psychotherapy, ones that build upon their unique qualities and abilities.
