John has worked with ICHAS since 2010 and was appointed to the role of Practice Placement Director in 2021. John is also an Academic and Clinical Supervisor and Lecturer on our range of  Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes.

John has worked as a lecturer within the counselling, psychotherapy and clinical supervision sector for many years and is still a very passionate and committed advocate for client centered care.

John is currently a fully accredited Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor and believes that working with students within the sector is very important and he aims to bring that knowledge, experience and communication skills into each class he works with.

John has deep sectorial knowledge and believes that although the counselling and psychotherapy sectors develop and change over time with the introduction of new standards and proficiencies for CORU that having a passion and commitment to best practice are and will be key cornerstones for the profession moving forward.
